Bringing [Dis]Ability to the Bar


This is the website of Bringing [Dis]Ability to the Bar (BDABar), a non-profit organisation dedicated to disabled aspiring barristers. Their mission is to dismantle the barriers that affect disabled individuals who aspire to become barristers and to enhance accessibility within the legal profession.

The organisation was founded by James Ekin and Konstantina Nouka. The latter is a current LLM Human Rights Law student at UCL and has Ulrich Muscular Dystrophy. She launched the organisation in 2023 after facing severe discrimination and discouragement during her applications for mini-pupillages.

10000 Black Interns


This is the website of 10,000 Black Interns, an essential resource designed to address the underrepresentation of Black talent across various industries in the United Kingdom. This programme collaborates with organisations spanning over 35 workstreams to provide invaluable opportunities for Black students and graduates.

Founded in August 2020 by Michael Barrington-Hibbert, Wol Kolade, Dawid Konotey-Ahulu, and Jonathan Sorrell, 10,000 Black Interns set out to secure 10,000 internships for Black graduates across 24 sectors and industries in the United Kingdom. The legal sector is a key participant, with nearly 50 leading UK LLPs and over 70 Chambers offering internships.

The launch of this programme received generous support from Capstone Investment Advisors, a global alternative asset management firm, and it continues to thrive thanks to the voluntary contributions from participating companies and organisations.
